United for Libraries is offering a FREE workshop preconference workshop during the ALA Annual Conference in Washington, D.C. "The ABC's of Preserving Intellectual Freedom: Anticipating, Bridging and Conversing: How to Help Protect Your Library" will be held on Friday, June 24, 2022, 1-4 p.m.
This workshop will help library Trustees, Friends, and Foundations to develop a framework of responses to intellectual freedom challenges. Topics include becoming familiar with varying viewpoints, working with your library to customize responses to difficult questions and situations, and educating the public.
This is an in-person program at the Washington Convention Center; attendees may register for the preconference workshop without registering for the ALA Conference. Register
