United for Libraries ticketed author events at ALA Annual

Enjoy refreshments, hear from authors, and pick up free, signed copies during these popular ticketed author events at ALA Annual

United for Libraries will present two ticketed author events at the ALA Annual Conference & Exhibition in San Diego June 27 – July 2. The Laugh’s on Us and the Gala Author Tea, two of United’s most popular annual programs, will take place as usual. At each ticketed event, guests are served refreshments as they listen to excerpts from upcoming titles and authors elaborate on their writing processes. Each panel is followed by a Q&A session and book signings. Purchase your ticket(s) while registering for the conference, or login to your existing registration to add ticket(s).

Featuring Paul Scheer (Joyful Recollections of Trauma), Jim O’Heir (Welcome to Pawnee), Maureen Kilmer (Nightmare of a Trip), Beth Kander (I Made it Out of Clay), and Danny Ramadan (Salma Makes a Home). A book signing will follow, with free books/advance copies for attendees (subject to availability).

Enjoy tea and treats while hearing from bestselling writers about their forthcoming titles during this annual event. Featured authors will include Tom Ryan (The Treasure Hunters Club), Justinian Huang (The Emperor and the Endless Palace), Chloe Gong (Vilest Things), Anna Montague (How Does That Make You Feel, Magda Eklund?), Lev AC Rosen (Rough Pages), and Chris Whitaker (All the Colors of the Dark). Attendees will receive advance copies and have the opportunity to have them signed by authors (signed books and advance copies are subject to availability). Moderated by Booklist’s Donna Seaman.
