United for Libraries author panels at ALA Annual

Preview the season’s hottest titles, hear from authors, and pick up free, signed copies

United for Libraries will present four author panels at the ALA Annual Conference & Exhibition in San Diego June 27 – July 2. Each panel is themed and offers the opportunity for attendees to learn about the season’s newest titles in several genres. Each panel is followed by a Q&A session and book signings. First Novels: An Author Panel
Sat., June 29 | 9:00-10:00 a.m

Preview the season’s most anticipated debut novels during this conference favorite, with Muriel Leung (How to Fall in Love in a Time of Unnameable Disaster), Del Sandeen (This Cursed House), Navid Sinaki (Medusa of the Roses), and Anna Rasche (The Stone Witch of Forence). Moderated by Melissa DeWild.


Love Stories: An Author Panel
Sat., June 29 | 2:30-3:30 p.m.

Meet bestselling romance authors at this popular program, with Jayne Allen (The Most Wonderful Time), Ana Huang (The Striker), Ann Rose (The Seemingly Impossible Love Life of Amanda Dean), and Lynda Cohen Loigman (The Love Elixir of Augusta Stern). Moderated by Booklist‘s Susan Maguire.


Nonfiction You Can’t Put Down: An Author Panel
Sat., June 29 | 4:00-5:00 p.m.

This panel will focus on compelling stories about real-life events. Join us with Sarah LaBrie (No One Gets to Fall Apart), Chelsea Devantez (I Shouldn’t Be Telling You This–But I’m Going to Anyway), Abigail Heringer (The Deaf Girl), and Wright Thompson (The Barn).


Thrills & Chills: An Author Panel
Sun., June 30 | 2:30-3:30 p.m.

Bestselling authors will discuss their latest mystery or horror titles. With Jacquie Walters (Dearest), Jane Pek (The Rivals), Alli Dyer (Strange Folk), and Hannah Deitch (Killer Potential). Moderated by Rebecca Vnuk of LibraryReads.
